Learn More About Patricia

Patricia Kawa’a is a retired police officer turned author, making her debut as an author with Cats in the Window. Before her retirement, Patricia worked as a School Education Officer in elementary schools, crafting numerous lesson plans for K-6th graders.

She loves going to the library and book fairs with the kids and is captivated by the excitement on children’s faces when they discover a good book. Patricia holds a Master of Business Administration and calls Prescott, AZ, home with her better half.

Patricia adores cats, and looking at cats playing outside her residence drove her to write her first book. She thought, “What are these cats thinking about right now?” The story in Cats in the Window is a product of her imagination and observations of her surroundings.
